2010 Resolutions

- eat (and drink) more healthily
(stuff in brackets can be omitted right?)

- write more regularly in my diary

- write more regularly in general

- stay calmer during football games
(yeah this one is really not gonna be broken)

- stop procrastinating
(unfortunately I already broke this .. but I'll start again tomorrow)

- get pregnant
(oh wait .. we're talking resolutions not dreams here)

- watch more movies
(well we needed a fun one)

And So It's Bye Bye 2009

As a general rule, I'm not too crazy about New Year's Eve. For most it's just about their favourite night of the year. For me it just represents 2 things: an end and change ... 2 of the things I hate most. While everyone else is holding up champagne glasses and counting down from 10, I'm forcing a smile and wishing it wouldn't have to be over.

No champagne glasses for me this year. My better half is sick so we'll have a quiet one at home. Hope it's not a sign of things to come in 2010.

Truth be told, I wasn't too upset this year. 2009 hasn't been anything to write home about .. but then one fine day I realised I'll never get to write 00 in the middle of a year again, and that was enough to change the feeling about it.

So now it's bye bye 2009 .. maybe you weren't that bad after all.

2009 So Far!

Uh, yeah so I forgot about this again! Or rather couldn't be bothered to write anything.

So .. 2009 so far .. I can't believe we're almost halfway through already. I didn't want 2008 to end cause it was a good one.

I spent most of 2009 in a feverish, influenzified, allergic & asthmatic mess .. not to mention that my right knee was out for the best part of 3 weeks.

On the other hand, I've been happy on the whole so that's something .. and things are looking up. I can run again and I've had 3 nights in a row without waking up to breathe.

So my vote: Good & getting better .. bring on the rest of the year!!

New York Here I Come!!

So I've had the tickets for 2 months, been planning things to do & see for 1 month, been packing for 1 week .. and now the day I leave is here!

Of course I thought I had it all planned out perfectly despite a small glitch when I asked to return on the 19th and she said the closest available was the 21st. I figured, ok I get off the plane, quick shower and off to watch the Champions League final. Then two days ago (yes two days .. having the tickets two months doesn't mean I actually looked at them!), I checked the ticket and saw that I actually land on the 22nd!!!

And I had the mother of all nervous breakdowns!!!!!!

Then I calmed down and realised that I don't be in the air during the game due to the time difference. So I'll watch Liverpool win it .. rush to the airport .. and celebrate on free wine courtesy of British Airways. Oh well, I wish I could have been with my mates at the club for that, but no use thinking about that now!

So anyway the day is here and so is that feeling in the pit of my stomach .. sort of excited & anxious at the same time you know. Well of course you don't know, you're not me. There might not even be a you .. no-one might be reading this. So why am I rambling on. Well, to stay awake really! It's easier to stay up than go to sleep and wake up. Of course I had an overdose of my friend caffeine.

I better stop this now cause I just remembered I have to set my video recorder and write a couple of emails before I start my make-up and then I'll be offff!!

Typical!

So what did I tell you .. that I'd forget all about this thing right! And that's what happened. Well at least I'm reliable *haha*

Anyway, here we go again, and this time I'll really try to keep it going as a way to keep in touch with everyone while I'm gone for a month. Yep, I'm off to New York to visit my mom & other relatives & friends. Well I don't leave till the last week of April but I'm already planning and preparing stuff.

It's been a crazy weekend here ... no make that a crazy month .. with the elections going on. It was all so boring for me and I'm glad it's over now cause I can actually have a conversation about something other than ministers and deputies!

Well, I guess I'm writing this to kill some time. It's still 1pm and I'm sooo excited for tonight! LFC vs Inter!! Roll on 7.15pm so I can leave the house & go to the club ... and COME ON YOU REDS .. make my week!! :)

Blog #1509

So I'm sitting here ready to go to a party when I get a text saying not to leave till about an hour later. Playing around online while waiting I discover (probably later than most) that you can login to this thing via your gmail account.

And blog #1509 is born

Well, that's a random number of course ... but I've started so many of these over the years and I never continue them for one reason or another ... I'll try to keep this going ... make it my new year resolution maybe?

So anyway .. I'm ready to party .. all day and all night!! Maybe my next entry will be less than legible .. but most probably I'll be lying in bed, eyes closed, seeing the neon light show created by my own head, rather than on here!
